hello pastor Jeff,
I have been really impressed with your podcast. as you know Mormons are probably the most hated religion in the United States and the most misunderstood. I know a lot of LGBTQ plus either practices or supporters of who still love God and Christ and are looking for congregation that welcome them. I have done a Google search and I can’t quite figure out whether you’re congregation welcomes them or not. I know you were trained in out of Methodist School of thought but even I know that is fracturing. I guess my question is do you welcome LGBTQ plus and their supporters wholeheartedly or are you on a mission to change the error of their ways. You could have a wheat failed right for harvest for your congregation if that is the case. Mormons who no longer can be in that religion for the stance against LGBTQ and their supporters but who still deeply love their religion and Christ and God. they’re not looking for someone to pass Mormonism but they want to be able to freely worship. It’s okay if that is not your mission nor some demographic that you include because they’re used to that. But I’m just asking the question on behalf of many friends who ask if I know any church that they can go to that will welcome them. I wish you had a chapter up here in Logan Utah I think it would be very popular.
I just want to say you were the only non-mormon channel that my mother listens to as she is orthodox LDS. She finds your take on a religion very refreshing and she’s learned a lot about mainstream Christianity. I had a very abusive anti-woman Southern Baptist grandmother who sent me cards on my 8th birthday damning me to hell and she treated our family like a pariah because of her faith. She would definitely have activated the phone tree against mitt Romney. So you have really helped heal a lot of trauma of evangelicals in my life. I don’t listen to you to get your Mormon perspective, but your evangelical one. But it helps to know that you don’t hate me and my religion just because. Utah needs Evangelical Christians like yourself to help educate the Mormon populace. we’re quite afraid of outsiders with good reason if you know our history and I think that needs to change. please keep up the good work and I’m really grateful for your family moved to Utah.
Dear Pastor Jeff, since a friend of mine was interested in joining LDS church I saw your segments on Youtube to learn about the religion. They were very interesting and informative. You were very open and kind with your evaluation.
I am a devout Catholic and the Catholic religion is the largest and most criticized religion. Would you ever consider making a series about the Catholic religion investigating all the aspects, such as saints, our Holy Mass, the fact we believe that the Eucharist is the body and blood of Christ. Jesus said “You are Peter and upon this rock I shall build my church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.”
