Alan Bird is a retired software engineer who created the Ward Bulletin App, a free-to-use web application that allows church organizations to create digital programs for Sacrament Meeting or other church meetings.

This episode involves a lot of visuals so it is presented in video form on YouTube.

Alan grew up in the Columbia Basin area in southeastern Washington, served a mission to Oslo, Norway, and received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. He has worked for tech companies large and small, primarily as a software consultant/contractor. In the Church he served many years in callings with the youth including scoutmaster, stake Young Men president, high councilor advisor to Young Men and Young Women and as Primary pianist when his wife was the Primary music leader. He has enjoyed providing support to great church leaders as a ward and stake executive secretary, stake clerk, and ward assistant clerk. Alan and his wife currently serve as Church service missionaries at the Lehi Utah FamilySearch Center.
