Discipleship Through Leadership

A Leading Saints Experience
Do you feel called to lead?
Leadership callings come and go, and we tend to give people the title of leader when they are in a specific role, but what about those who still identify as a leader even after their release?
The calling has ended, but you still feel called from God to make a difference.
We call these people Zion Builders.
These are individuals who crave to make a difference in their church community no matter their official calling.
The ideal scenario for Zion Builders is to go from one leadership role to another (elders quorum pres. ➡️bishop ➡️stake pres.); however, there aren’t enough official roles for all Zion Builders to feel fulfilled.
So what do we do?
This is exactly why Zion Camp exists.
We hope to gather a group of passionate leaders (calling or no calling) and explore the concept of building Zion, first in our own hearts, and then develop the character to have influence and spark transformation in the communities that matter most to us.

Zion Camp Purpose: Build Extraordinary Zion Communities
When you were called as a leader, you felt like you were going to do something different. You were going to take the organization to the next level.
However, ambitious leadership intentions can be derailed by administration, project management, and so many other things demanding your time.
To overcome this, you naturally seek out the best tactics and skill sets so you can succeed as a leader.
This is completely understandable; however, there is no 5 step plan, or skillset that will create an automatic transformation in your organization.
What you experience at Zion Camp is how to build extraordinary communities.
The best part about being the person who builds extraordinary communities is that you don’t have to wait around for an influential leadership role to make a difference. Whether you are a formal leaders, a former leaders, or have never been a leader, you can still have a dramatic impact on how your community reflects a Zion community.
At Zion Camp we want to gather those Zion Builders and inspire each other to build the ideal community we are feeling called to build.
Watch the attached video to hear Kurt and Dan discuss this concept.

Things you’ll experience
Incredible Surroundings
An essential aspect of this experience involves disconnecting from your busy everyday life and entering a nurturing environment where you can wholeheartedly focus on personal inspiration. The serene surroundings at Aspen Grove will undoubtedly enhance the spiritual aspect of your journey.
Share Your Voice & Experience
You won’t just learn from speakers, we will learn from each other. This is not a passive experience where you sit and listen. Presenters will be facilitators more than lecturers. Your voice will be needed in this experience. You will find individuals who think like you. People who are Zion Builders! As you gather with these individuals and share your thoughts, the collective genius will be obvious.
Interactive Presentations
That natural question is, Who is speaking?!?! Yes, we are used to attending conferences where the speaking lineup is clear. Watch this video for a clear explanation, but in short, it doesn’t matter who is speaking. Yes, we will have engaging presenters for part of the experience, but we are aiming for a crucible of character development which is nothing like a passive learning experience.
