Cindy Burt is a counselor in her ward young women’s program in Kirkland, Washington. She has also served as a Relief Society president, stake Young Women’s President, and seminary teacher. She joined the LDS Church at 26 soon after she married her husband. She shares with the listeners her approach to leadership; including the following key leadership principles:
- The importance of personal revelation and the Holy Ghost
- Prioritization
- Having love for Heavenly Father’s children
- Stand in Holy Places
- Teaching by the Holy Ghost
Sister Burt also shares her unique opportunity of teaching early-morning seminary in her public school classroom. This created some unique missionary opportunities that blessed the lives of her students and their friends.
The audio was perfect. There have been other interviews where it wasn’t so great.
A wonderful podcast! Thank you for interviewing someone who is a living example of what she hopes to become. Living in an area where LDS women are few in number, it is uplifting to hear of her bravery, commitment and testimony as she interacts with family and community as a genuine leader, not a calling.
