When I started Leading Saints, I figured my target audience was leaders in the church.

Almost 13 years later I realize the target audience for Leading Saints is much more expansive.

(Not to mention, the audience is much more female than I expected it would be.)

Creating content directed at a formal church leadership audience does help us stay focused.

With that said, the Leading Saints movement is much bigger than the titles you hear in the hallway at church.

Meeting recently with our board of directors, Dan Duckworth framed the Leading Saints audience perfectly when he said,

“Leading Saints serves the leadership class of Latter-day Saints.”

The Leadership Class… I like it!

So, what does that mean?

Observing our current audience, it is obvious that those who are drawn to Leading Saints are…

The influencers

The positive deviants

The movers and shakers

Title or no title, they are making a difference.

They are not limited by a calling or a title.

Sure, they need some direction or inspiration sometimes, and we are happy to provide it.

They refuse to sit back.

They shape their community by having their presence felt.

It’s a very Christlike attribute.

You are the leadership class.

Sincerely,

Kurt Francom
