Everyone caught in the middle of a flash mob talks about it for a week — maybe longer. They experience something so different it was worth talking about.
I saw the following clip on TED and thought it’s exactly what Sunday School needs. Take a watch and I’ll explain.
I wouldn’t suggest you put together a Saturday’s Warrior solo that happens in the middle of a lesson. Nor should you not wear pants during class to get a reactionābut do something so remarkable (within the reverence of the meeting) that people will talk about it for a week.
Get creative and then share with us below what you do or what you have seen that made a Sunday School class remarkable.
This has given me encouragement to try something new and different for my Seminary class. Thanks!

…and you aren't going to tell us what that is!?!?!? š
We'd love to hear what you do and how it turns out.
We had a readers theater for the Balaam and Boaz story complete with the talking donkey! It was a great way! I used a talk by Elder Bruce R McConkie to give me some direction in prepping the script. My class is filled with fun, talented, smart members who appreciated this “flash mob”esque change in Sunday School!!
I love this idea! Thanks for sharing!
My first Sunday teaching Gospel Doctrine in my current ward, I popped a bag of microwave popcorn so it was hot just before class. And then I asked the students (most of whom are retired from having to physically earn money and ALL of whom are wiser than I – a daunting group of people…) what they wanted more. My bag of hot popcorn, right now! or the jar of unpopped kernels for later. Instant Gratification. I had one student say something about that lesson three weeks later! I might add that I also had enough “props” to cause my husband to inform me that I wasn’t “teaching a relief society lesson…!”
Too bad the men DON’T teach like we do in RS! My husband hates priesthood because the teachers aren’t prepared. He begs to sit in with the sisters. Maybe the men should take lessons….from us!!
Where is the video?
