Michael Goodman joined the church as a young adult in Southern California. He has served two missions to Bangkok, Thailand, once as a missionary and again as a mission president. He has served as a Bishop and on several general church committees for the Church including his current service on the Church’s Correlation Review Committee. He has a PhD in Marriage
Family and Human Development and is an associate professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. He is the editor and author of two books and numerous scholarly
articles and book chapters on subjects related to religion and the family. He is married to Tina Goodman and they are the parents of two married children and grandparents to four adorable grandbabies.
