Helping Latter-Day Saints Understand the Complexities of Being a Single Adult in our Faith Community

Over half of the church membership is single, divorced, or widowed. That means millions of members around the world may be feeling isolated and alone in a church where the focus on the family is so central to doctrine and everyday teachings.

This summit helps members of the church understand the struggles single members face so they can better “minister to the one” and have a deeper connection with the single saints in their congregations.
As part of our baptismal covenants, we promise to bear others’ burdens mourn with those that mourn, comfort those in need of comfort.

The Single Saints Summit is a collection of over 15 powerful sessions to teach leaders how to connect with, minister to, and lead the single saints of the church.

Listen as presenters of all backgrounds share their experiences as single saints, or leaders to single saints, and learn how to navigate the doctrine of the family as an unmarried member of the church.

Mentally Healthy Saints Virtual Summit

Helping Latter-day Saints Be Prepared to Minister to Those Who Struggle with Mental Health

Many leaders feel uncertain about how they can help an individuals who is deeply troubled by mental health. What if I say the wrong thing? I am not a therapist so maybe there isn’t anything to talk about.

The reality is, we simply need to gain a deeper level of empathy in order to help encourage these individuals to not only progress in life but find valuable help with their mental help by engaging in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
By listening to experts we can better understand the issue. By listening to individuals who have experienced a struggle with mental health we can better understand what it is like trying to find growth and happiness in our Latter-day Saint communities.

Helping Latter-day Saints Run More Effective Meetings

If you’re reading this, then we know you’ve been there. You’ve had the excitement of receiving a new call to serve from your bishopric or stake presidency only to find out you’ll sit through hours of unstructured meetings over the course of your service, some just to plan other meetings.

Sounds kinda crazy, right?
At Leading Saints we have received countless experiences of individual leaders enduring many of those meetings mentioned, we feel your pain.
A wise ward clerk made the statement above after one such ward council:
“After all is said and done, more was said than done.”
That just about sums up a lot of administrative meetings in the church, doesn’t it? A lot of talk and not very much action.
What about this statement from a former Young Men president:
“The only meeting I have a hard time with is ward council and it’s more me than the meeting. The drama from some of the leaders is really hard for me to stomach.”
Can you relate?
