Brad Wilcox grew up in Provo, Utah except for childhood years spent in Ethiopia, Africa. He served his mission in Chile and later returned to that country to serve as a mission president. He is a professor at Brigham Young University and has served as a member of the Sunday School General Board. He wrote the well-known books The Continuous Atonement and Changed Through His Grace. 

In this session Brother Wilcox teaches us about how his time serving as a bishop lead to him writing The Continuous Atonement. It is through our understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ where individuals will find the most motivation to keep their covenants and participate in the restored gospel.

He also discusses a powerful lesson he learned from Elder Bruce C. Hafen about leaders being a coach and not a critic.

He shares of his experience as a call center manager and the daily examples he learned about motivation; especially during a crisis created by Oprah.

From 2014-2016, he was an assistant professor of management at Cal State Fullerton, teaching and conducting research on leadership. He has published multiple academic articles on the topic, most recently in the Journal of Organizational Behavior. He now works as a consultant and workplace analyst for Gallup, a consulting company that specializes in management development.
